Year nine activity days allow students the opportunity to experience a real working environment and an insight into the world of work.
NETA's state of the art facilities and industry experienced staff provide a safe environment for pupils. Supported by instructors they carry out a variety of practical tasks which give them an insight into what engineering is all about.

Under strict supervision pupils will make a simple stainless steel clock using a range of tools including file, scribe, punch and pedistal drill. They also have the chance to create a simple design using computer aided design software - 3D CAD software -ProDesktop.
Visits to engineering construction sites and the opportunity for pupils to talk to engineering apprentices also forms part of the programme.
