Engineering: Double Award

Working in partnership with local schools, NETA offers the Engineering (Double Award), one of a number of GCSEs in vocational subjects designed to offer students the opportunity to widen their participation in vocationally related learning. This is an ideal course for those students who want a broad background in Engineering and can be undertaken by students entering this vocational area for the first time.

   
GCSE/BTEC

This qualification is suitable for both pre-16 and post-16 learners in full-time or part-time education. When completing their portfolios, students will be expected to have had practical experience in producing a product such as a CO2 powered model racing car.
NETA’s highly qualified training staff will work with pupils to:

  • Develop a broad knowledge and understanding of the engineering industry, its organisation, products and processes through investigation, research and practical application.
  • Develop the skills, knowledge and understanding needed in engineering.
