Who is NETA?

NETA was set up in 1975 as a charitable group training association, offering quality training for engineering construction companies based in the Northern Region. Since its inception the company has gained recognition as one of the UK's largest vocational training providers. Through its proactive policy and programme of continuous improvement, NETA offers a diverse range of services to many other occupational sectors outside of engineering.

NETA goes to great lengths to ensure that it is at the forefront of developments in terms of technology and facilities so that customers can be totally confident that courses are based on the most up to date information and regulations available. Passionate about raising the profile of the North East, NETA is often the forerunner in the delivery of new ground-breaking training, is regularly the first to invest in the training needs of today and instrumental in bringing to the area training courses previously unavailable to the local workforce.

NETA has extended and maintained practical training facilities whilst many have moved away from such resources. This commitment to vocational training resulted in NETA being approved as the first Centre for Vocational Excellence (CoVE) for engineering construction in 2003.

Following its Ofsted inspection in 2007, NETA was awarded grade 2 in all of its occupational areas for leadership and management and in December 2007 NETA was accredited under a new quality standard which will be replacing CoVE's.
